Ramadan Challenge: Chapter #18 – Formation
“And certainly did We create man from an extract of clay. (12) Then We placed him as a sperm-drop in a firm lodging. (13) Then We made the sperm-drop into a clinging clot, and We made the clot into a lump [of flesh], and We made [from] the lump, bones, and We covered the bones with flesh; then We developed him into another creation. So blessed is God, the best of creators.(14)” [23:12-14][Sahih International]
These verses are so amazing I cannot seem to wrap my head around them. We are made from something as simple as clay. We, these amazing, living beings filled with many organs that work together to sustain life. So many systems keep this body functioning. And just from a drop of clay. Glory be to God!
The verses continue on to explain how a human is formed in the womb. From sperm and egg forming into a clinging clot, to clot forming into a lump of flesh–that’s how we were created and formed. How can you not be blown away after reading this?
No one could ever come near creating something this detailed and this perfect. No matter how much we try to create things to replicate the creation of humans, we will never achieve half of what God has done. The creation of humans or human-like robots will never be a thing we succeed with. Only the greatest, the Almighty could achieve this.
