The beloved

The beloved

Have you ever met a person whose vibe is just amazing?

You can feel downright, that this person is sincere, wise, and real. That he or she just looks way pass your inadequacy or the flaws you thought you had. One that doesn’t put the needs for you to put your guards up making you feel incompetent.

A person who is genuine, that he or she doesn’t even make you feel not enough but allows you to just be even if you have a lot of work to do. But this person doesn’t impart judgement or show discomfort at the slightest bit. Just ready to guide and assist you to his or her own capability and knowledge, at your own pace.

A person who is real in all aspects of his or her life.

I met a doctor for an appointment on the second day of Ramadan, and her presence is just amazing. Up to today, I could still feel her warmth and sincerity that made me feel warm and fuzzy just thinking about the conversation we had in that brief moment we shared. Her words and wisdom that she imparted beyond the medical reason I intended to meet her for, was just so blessed, ma shaa Allah.

Meeting her made me think of this hadith, narrated by Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:

‘If Allah loves a person, He calls Jibrael saying, ’Allah loves so and so; O Jibrael love him.’ And make an announcement amongst the inhabitants of the heaven: “Allah loves so and so therefore you should love him also, and so all the inhabitants of the heaven would love him, and then he is granted the pleasures of the people on the earth.” [Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

Meeting her was a blessing for me. It made me think about how true it is that Allah aids to cover His beloved servant’s flaws when Allah loves him or her. Making the people surrounding the beloved servant love him or her.

For one, we are all humans and we are imperfect of perfection. There will be at any points of our lives, some flaw we may or may not be aware of. But just the thought that Allah aids in covering the flaws of His servants and make the people around them love them.

So, the next time you meet a person who is warm and sincere, whose existence just penetrates to your heart, mashaaAllah, it is indeed a blessing!

And let me tell you this, it doesn’t happen just by coincidence.

Love & Light,
Nadrah
