Surah at-Tawbah, verse 129
“But if they turn away, [O Muhammad], say, “Sufficient for me is Allah; there is no deity except Him. On Him I have relied, and He is the Lord of the Great Throne.””
There are times when those we hope would walk with us in life, end up walking away from us. Without doubt, it hurts. The feeling of abandonment and being let down is overwhelming and can leave us stagnant in grief.
This ayah reminds us of our anchor through life; Allah. Truly, He is enough for us in every circumstance, and our reliance upon Him, is our ease in this life and the next.
Let ourselves feel the pain and grief that we must, to heal our souls, but never forget, He will never abandon us.
