Chapter #11: All Powerful and Most Wise!

“Indeed, your Lord is God, who created the heavens and the earth in six days and then established Himself above the Throne, arranging the matter [of His creation]. There is no intercessor except after His permission. That is God, your Lord, so worship Him. Then will you not remember?” [Sahih International][10:3]

Two things we are able to extract out of this verse:

First, when reading about the creation of this world and really thinking about how intricate it is, doesn’t that make you want to thank whoever is responsible? How every small detail counts on the next to keep this world moving? How if one thing was to be done wrong or at the wrong time it would all fall apart? And He in all His glory can easily keep this world moving. SubhanAllah, God is truly all powerful.

Second, since God is all powerful; why did it take him 6 days to create this world? God has a hikma (wisdom/reason) for everything He does. And after doing my research as to why, one of the reasons was that God wanted to teach us how to commit to what we do, and do it with perfection (or the best of one’s ability). Because good things take time to happen. And patience is key. We shouldn’t rush when trying to perfect something because perfection comes with cautious work and attention to detail. So take your time and do not rush what you’re doing in order to get it done right!
