Chapter #12: Beneficial Prayers

“And establish prayer at the two ends of the day and at the approach of the night. Indeed, good deeds do away with misdeeds. That is a reminder for those who remember.” [Sahih International][11:114]

A beautiful reminder in this blessed month! With life being so busy, we don’t ever remember to get up for Qiyam (a night prayer that is made after Isha–the last prayer of the day–and before dawn) and pray Duha (a prayer which begins when the sun has risen until Dhuhr, the mid-day prayer-) or Ishraq (Duha when it’s prayed at the beginning of its time). So during this month, since we (should) strive to do more and push ourselves to our limits, why not try to pray these super beneficial prayers that will increase our good deeds and help us get rid of our bad ones?
