Chapter #4: Interest

“O you who have believed, do not consume usury [interest], doubled and multiplied, but fear God that you may be successful.” [Sahih International][3:130]

I’m sure we have all heard that interest is haram [prohibited], but sometimes we may find ourselves taking it lightly. Yet this Aya is strong authentic evidence on the matter; it’s crystal clear. We mustn’t take it lightly–no matter how small the amount is, it’s still haram. In reality, the further away you stay  from interest the more successful you become. God’s got your back, InshAllah!
