Emotional waves

Emotional waves

The deeper the emotion, the more waves it brings.

A person could be eating the happiest piece of cake, and suddenly their tears begin to flow like a waterfall. That cake was a reminder of someone or something. It reopened a wound that had not fully healed.

What ensues is a month of feeling incredibly down. Others might look at them and say, “they look depressed.” There’s a huge chance that they might not just look it, but they could definitely be depressed.

It’s unpredictable. One day a person is okay and the next they’re not. This is because life itself can be unpredictable. It can be rough and tiring and demanding and painful. But it can also be beautiful and exciting and healing. The contradiction can be exhilarating, but it can also be a lot to handle.

Sometimes something like nostalgia starts off as a sweet memory that soon becomes painful. The wave can crash into a person’s heart, leaving them weak and lacking energy for some time.

Life can be difficult, but it’s not impossible. It’s possible. So possible.

Even though life might feel like it’s too much to handle, it’s never more powerful than your strength. God will not burden a soul more than it can handle. That’s why you’re still here, and that’s also why you don’t give up.

The waves can threaten you, but you are strong enough to ride them.
