For you, who grows too
Written by: Nadrah Mustafa
You hide your flaws too well, just like anybody would.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
You fear the world will discover your inner most thoughts and feelings, and accuse you of being a fraud.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
You wither away, feeling your worth slowly decline as well as your confidence. All these, while trying to compose yourself as you present yourself – presentable.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
You smile. You nod. You sheepishly fade into the background.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Have heart, my dear.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Have you seen the flowers bloom? Even the seemingly insignificant tiny flower blooms, colouring the garden so well. Its presence is felt.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
فَتَقَبَّلَهَا رَبُّهَا بِقَبُولٍ حَسَنٍ وَأَنْبَتَهَا نَبَاتًا حَسَنًا
Fataqabbalahā rabbuhā biqabūlin hasanin wa-ambatahā nabātan hasanā

So her Lord accepted her with a gracious acceptance, and made her grow in a worthy fashion (Sūrat Āli Imrān, No. 3, Āyat 37)
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We grow. We bloom.
You grow.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
You bloom.
