Hope of Yaqub

No one finds the scent of Yusuf,
except he who has the hope of Ya’qub.

One of my favorite quotes which refers to the incident mentioned in Surah Yusuf verse 94: And when they set forward with the caravan their father (Ya’qub) said: Truly, I find the scent of Yusuf if you think me not weak of mind.

Sometimes, we go through adversities and trials where we almost lose hope and trust in the Creator’s plan. That’s the exact time we need to seek help with patience and prayer. Imagine after losing a loved one and betrayal from his own offspring, Prophet Ya’qub still had an unshakable trust and faith in Allah. We sometimes question the existence of the Creator upon being tested. It’s only when we fully believe and entrust our affairs in the hands of Allah; then and only then we find solace in any condition we find ourself.

Prophet Ya’qub was patient with the false news about the death of his son Yusuf and Allah honored him in the long run. So trust in Allah’s plan for you and remain steady on your faith and express your gratitudes towards him in abundance and for sure he will reward you infinitely in the long run.
