Quranic Reflection Series: His Compassion

Surah an-Nisa, verse 40

“Indeed, Allah does not do injustice, [even] as much as an atom’s weight; while if there is a good deed, He multiplies it and gives from Himself a great reward.”

When we stumble and fall, people are quick to highlight our every flaw, and bring up past mistakes for good measure.

Allah, instead, only ever deals with us based upon that particular fall; nothing more, nothing less. To add, if we regret and repent and turn to Allah for help, He will wipe away that stumbling that we incurred. Seeing us once again in the good form that He created us upon.

When we do good, there will be some who will question our motives, assuming that we must be seeking some return.

Allah sees into our hearts, and He knows already what has driven us towards that goodness, and out of His love and mercy, He rewards us for more than the deed we have done. He seeks to reward us beyond measure, ever-willing us into His company in Jannah.

That is justice of the truest kind, and that is compassion unlike any other.
