Ramadan Challenge: Chapter #19 – Perfection

Ramadan Challenge: Chapter #19 – Perfection

Written by: Barah

“He who created the heavens and the earth and what is between them in six days and then established Himself above the Throne –the Most Merciful–so ask about Him one well informed.” [25:59][Sahih International]

When I read this verse, I can’t help but think for a second: God created this entire universe in six days. That sounds like such a small amount of time to have created the heavens, earth, and all that is in between. But, this is God we are talking about–for Him, six days is a lot of time, meaning that God took His time creating this universe. He did not rush. God has the ability to have created this whole universe–and anything really–in a blink of an eye. But I believe God used his creation of this universe as an example for us, to teach us that it is important when doing things to do so perfectly, in the best way we possibly can.

So, when I think of this verse, I think of patience. I think of giving the things we do the time they deserve, of not rushing them. Nothing good comes out of rushing things. We should not only give things the effort it needs but the time as well, to perfect it.

As the hadith says:

Aisha (ra) said: The prophet (pbuh) said: ““God loves someone who when works, he performs it in perfect manner (itqan).””

So, lets learn how to do things slowly and with perfection; this is one way to gain Gods love!
