Ramadan Challenge: Chapter #22 – Trust

Ramadan Challenge: Chapter #22 – Trust

Written by: Barah

“And do not obey the disbelievers and the hypocrites but do not harm them, and rely upon God. And sufficient is God as a Disposer of affairs.” [33:48][Sahih International]

This verse notes something extremely important: that we can disagree with someone and still be civil. This is important because we tend to think that just because we don’t agree with or dislike someone, we have the right to do as we please towards them. And that’s a huge misconception that needs to be eliminated.

God tells us to stay away and not obey the disbelievers and hypocrites, but to also not harm them. He tells us to rely on Him. Trust in Him to deal with everything. Do not take matters into your own hands; that’s what God is here for. Just overlook people’s shortcomings because problems are in God’s hands and He is sufficient to deal with people and the wrong they’re doing.
