Ramadan Challenge: Chapter #24 – Ourselves
“Whoever does righteousness, it is for his [own] soul; and whoever does evil [does so] against it. And your Lord is not ever unjust to [His] servants.” [41:46][Sahih International]
As mentioned plenty of times in the Qur’an, everything we do is for us. The good we do is in the end is benefiting us; God does not need us to do good. He is telling us we should, for our own sake. The bad we do in the end is harming only us; we cannot harm God. He is telling us to refrain from the bad, for our own sake.
God is always just. He will reward us for all the good we do. He will not waste a single atom of good that comes from us. Which means He will also punish us for the bad we do as well. There is justice in all God’s actions.
