Ramadan Challenge: Chapter #25 – His Mercy
“And it is He who accepts repentance from his servants and pardons misdeeds, and He knows what you do. And He answers [the supplication of] those who have believed and done righteous deeds and increases [for] them from His bounty. But the disbelievers will have a severe punishment.” [42:25-26][Sahih International]
These verses remind us of the mercy of God.
If we offer true repentance, distancing ourselves from the wrongdoing that we enacted, and never go back to it, He will accept it. He excuses our mistakes and wrong doings. He created us with imperfections and there is no way we can live life without making mistakes. He knows everything that we do. He knows our intentions.
He always answers the dua (supplication) of the believer. He increases the believer, the one who does good, from His abundance.
But He also reminds us that the disbelievers will get their share as well. Those that do not feel remorse for their wrongdoings, those that do not repent–they will face retribution.
