Ramadan

Ramadan

Written by: Abeeda

There is something about Ramadan;

it strips us of our every desire.

Baring our souls in their most raw and real forms.

It takes courage to look at our realities;

seeing the weaknesses we possess,

seeing our errors and misjudgments,

seeing the sins we have collected along the way.

But there is something far greater and honorable within this month.

For simply having attempted one goodness,

He promises a reward multiplied by 70;

for every bowing and prostration, He allows those sins to fall slowly away.

For every moment of hunger borne with patience, we are elevated in His sights.

So, what does this month remind us of?

His Mercy far outweighs His Anger.
